How to Apply?

  • Visit Official Website : Go to the official website of the chosen Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) or the unified RRB portal (rrb.indianrailways.gov.in).

  • Create an Account : Click on the "Create an Account" link, provide a valid mobile number and email ID, and complete the registration (note that details entered here cannot be modified later).

  • Identity Authentication : Authenticate your identity during account creation or application using DigiLocker or [Aadhaar Redacted] to streamline the process.

  • Review Eligibility : Read the Centralized Employment Notification (CEN No. 03/2026) thoroughly to verify age, medical, and educational qualifications for the Section Controller post.

  • Access Application Form : Log in with your credentials and select the online application link specifically provided for CEN No. 03/2026.

  • Select RRB and Zones : Choose a single RRB and provide your order of preference for the Railway Zones under that chosen board.

  • Fill Personal Details : Accurately enter your personal details, ensuring names and date of birth strictly match your Matriculation/10th class certificate.

  • Capture Live Photograph : Position yourself in front of a webcam or mobile front camera in non-white clothing, keeping your face centered with a neutral expression, and capture your live photo directly within the portal (do not upload pre-existing photos).

  • Upload Scanned Documents : Upload your signature (scanned in black ink on white paper within 30 KB to 49 KB in JPG/JPEG format) and, if claiming an SC/ST free train travel pass, your caste certificate in PDF format (under 400 KB).

  • Choose Examination Medium : Select your preferred language for the Computer Based Test (CBT) from English, Hindi, or the available regional languages.

  • Pay Examination Fee : Submit the requisite application fee online via internet banking, debit/credit cards, or UPI (fees are ₹500 for general candidates with a partial refund on appearing for the CBT, or ₹250 for concession categories).

  • Final Submission and Printout : Review all entered details carefully before final submission, complete the payment, and save a confirmation copy of the submitted application form for future reference.

Selection Process

  • Single Stage Computer Based Test (CBT) : Candidates must first appear for a 120-minute screening test consisting of 100 objective-type questions covering analytical, mathematical, logical, and mental reasoning capabilities, with a negative marking of 1/3rd mark for every incorrect answer.

  • Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) : Candidates short-listed at the rate of 8 times the number of vacancies based on their CBT performance must qualify in the CBAT by securing a minimum T-Score of 42 marks in each test battery, with no negative marking.

  • Document Verification (DV) : Shortlisting for this stage is conducted at a 1:1 ratio based on a combined merit score comprising 70% weightage from the CBT and 30% weightage from the CBAT, where candidates must present their original certificates.

  • Medical Examination : Provisionally shortlisted candidates must undergo and pass the requisite medical fitness test corresponding to the prescribed A-2 medical standard administered by the Railway Administration before final appointment.
