How to Apply?

• Check Eligibility : Ensure you fulfill all eligibility criteria and norms specified in the detailed advertisement available on the official DRDO website.   

• Verify Age Requirement : Confirm that your age is not less than 18 years as of 01 September 2026.

• Check Percentage Criteria : Verify that you have secured 70% or CGPA 7.5 and above in qualifying examinations for the years 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026.

• Register on NATS 2.0 (Graduate/Diploma) : B.E./B.Tech/Diploma candidates must complete mandatory registration on the NATS 2.0 portal at https://nats.education.gov.in.

• Register on Apprenticeship India (ITI) : ITI trade candidates must complete mandatory registration on the portal at https://apprenticeshipindia.gov.in.

• Apply via NATS (Graduate/Diploma) : Log into https://nats.education.gov.in, select Research Centre Imarat, DRDO (Enrolment ID: STLRAC000010), and submit your online application.

• Apply via Apprenticeship Portal (ITI) : Log into https://apprenticeshipindia.gov.in, click 'Apprenticeship Opportunities', search for 'RESEARCH CENTRE IMARAT' (Establishment ID: E05203600040), select your trade, and click apply.

• Submit Within Deadline : Ensure your online application is successfully submitted within 30 days from the date of publication of the advertisement in the newspaper.

Selection Process

• Reservation Applicability : Reservation policies for SC, ST, OBC, PWD, and EWS categories will apply as per the provisions of the Apprentices Act 1961, Apprentice Rules 1992, and Apprenticeship (Amendment) Rules 2019 and 2025.

• Basis of Selection : Selection will be determined based on academic merit or an interview as required, subject to satisfactory verification of documents.

• Notification of Shortlisted Candidates : Shortlisted candidates will be notified via the email address provided in their application for correspondence.

• Document Verification Requirement : Shortlisted candidates must bring their original and self-attested copies of required documents during document verification and joining.

• Required Documents : Candidates must carry the filled application form, NATS/NAPS profile printout, 10th class mark sheet and certificate, final qualifying exam mark sheet and certificate, category/PWD/EWS certificates (if applicable), a government photo ID, Aadhaar card, Aadhaar-seeded bank passbook copy, a medical fitness certificate from a government civil assistant surgeon, and two passport-size photographs.

• Contract Execution : Before training begins, selected candidates must execute a contract of apprenticeship on the respective portals and are restricted from withdrawing except for reasons beyond their control.

• Police Verification : Selected candidates must produce a valid police verification certificate from their place of last residence (for at least the past one year) or permanent address upon joining.

• Finality of Management Decision : No correspondence will be entertained for non-selected candidates, and the management reserves the right to amend, refix, cancel, or suspend the selection process at any time without assigning reasons.
