• Mining Sirdar : Valid Mining Sirdar Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS, Valid Gas Testing Certificate, Valid First-Aid Certificate, 03 years of experience of working in Underground Mines OR Diploma in Mining Engineering, Valid Overman competency certificate issued by DGMS, Valid Gas Testing Certificate, Valid First Aid Certificate
• Assistant Foreman/ Electrical Supervisor : Diploma in Electrical Engineering from any institute recognized by the Government, Electrical Supervisory Certificate valid for Mines issued by the Appropriate Government.

• Website Access : Visit the official WCL website at www.westerncoal.in, navigate to Career > Recruitment > Employment Notification for Open Recruitment of various posts of Statutory Supervisory Staff, and select Apply online.
• Language Selection : Choose either English or Hindi based on your convenience to proceed with the notification and application process.
• Eligibility Review : Carefully read through all provisions of the Employment Notification to ensure you fulfill all required criteria before applying.
• Document Preparation : Keep scanned copies of your recent passport-size photograph (in jpg/jpeg format, not older than 3 weeks), signature with a black ink pen (in jpg/jpeg format), and relevant educational certificates, marksheets, competency certificates, gas testing certificates, first-aid certificates, and caste/category/EWS/disability certificates (in pdf, jpg, or jpeg format) ready for upload.
• Fee Payment : Pay the non-refundable application fee of Rs. 1180/- (Rs. 1000 application fee plus Rs. 180 applicable GST) online if you belong to the Unreserved (UR), OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), or EWS categories (SC, ST, PwBD, ESM, and departmental candidates are exempt from the fee).
• Form Submission : Fill in all required fields accurately, upload the necessary documents, review the entered details, and submit the online application form before the closing date of 10 August, 2026.
• Application Printout : Keep a printed copy of the submitted online application form safely with you for future reference.

Selection Process

• Computer Based Test (CBT) : Eligible candidates must appear for a 100-mark bilingual computer-based test comprising 20 questions on General Aptitude and 80 questions on Technical subjects, with a duration of 90 minutes and no negative marking.

• Document Verification (Scrutiny) : Candidates are shortlisted based on their CBT marks within a zone of consideration equal to three times the number of vacancies in each category to undergo original document and certificate verification.

• Resolution of Tie : Ties in CBT marks are resolved first by date of birth (elder candidates given priority) and then by the alphabetical order of the candidate's first name in their matriculation certificate.

• Provisional Offer of Appointment : Provisional appointments are issued to selected candidates based on their relative merit position and category reservations.

• Initial Medical Examination : Final selection and appointment are subject to candidates being certified as medically fit during the Initial Medical Examination according to company standards.
