Educational 

Super Specialist Medical Officers (Second-in-Command)

• Degree : A graduate degree in Medicine (M.B.B.S.) or equivalent from a recognized university/institution included in the first or second schedule or Part-II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

• Registration : Should be enrolled in any State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register and possess permanent registration.

• Post-Graduate & Super-Specialty Qualification : Post-Graduate Degree/Diploma in the related specialty, along with a Doctorate of Medicine (DM) or Magister Chirurgiae (M.Ch.) or equivalent with 3 years of experience in the concerned super-specialty after obtaining the first post-graduate degree. Senior Residency period counts towards experience.

Specialist Medical Officers (Deputy Commandant)

• Degree & Registration : MBBS degree, completion of compulsory rotating internship, and permanent registration with the MCI/NMC/State Medical Council.

• Post-Graduate Qualification : Post-Graduate (PG) Degree/Diploma in the concerned specialty.

• Experience : Must possess 1.5 years of experience in the concerned specialty after obtaining a PG Degree, or 2.5 years after obtaining a PG Diploma before appointment.

Medical Officers (Assistant Commandant)

• Degree : A recognized medical qualification in allopathic system of medicines included in the first, second schedule, or Part-II of the third schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

• Internship : Completion of compulsory rotating internship. Candidates undergoing the rotating internship are eligible to apply and appear for the interview, provided they complete it before appointment.

• Registration : Must possess permanent registration from MCI/NMC/State Medical Council before appointment.

How to Apply?

• Step 1 : Access the Official Portal : Visit the ITBP Recruitment website at www.recruitment.itbpolice.nic.in to begin your application.

• Step 2 : Apply within the Timeline : Ensure you submit your application between August 10, 2026 (00:01 AM) and September 08, 2026 (11:59 PM).

• Step 3 : Use Online Mode Only : Submit your application strictly through 'ON-LINE MODE', as any offline applications will be summarily rejected.

• Step 4 : Register Valid Contact Details : Provide a genuine and functional e-mail ID and mobile number during the online application process to receive your admit card and further instructions.

• Step 5 : Indicate Force Preferences : Carefully indicate your choice of preference for the CAPFs (BSF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB) and Assam Rifles in order, as this choice will be final and cannot be changed later.

• Step 6 : Fill Profile Accurately : Complete your profile and application form strictly following the given instructions to ensure you meet all eligibility criteria.

• Step 7 : Upload Required Documents : Upload a clear and legible photograph, scanned signature, MBBS/equivalent degree certificate, specialized qualification certificate, and your MCI/NMC/State Medical Council registration certificate.

• Step 8 : Pay the Application Fee : Pay the ₹400 application fee through the online payment gateway if you are a General (UR), OBC, or EWS male candidate; SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, and female candidates are exempt from this fee.

• Step 1 : Documentation Verification - Candidates whose online applications are found in order are issued admit cards to report to designated centers for original document verification.

• Step 2 : Interview - Eligible candidates undergo an interview carrying 200 marks (minimum qualifying standard is 40%, i.e., 80 marks) to test general knowledge, personality, intellect, and leadership.

• Step 3 : Physical Standard Test (PST) - Candidates who qualify the interview are assessed for minimum required physical standards, including height and chest measurements.

• Step 4 : Medical Examination Test (MET) - Qualified candidates undergo a medical examination on the same or following day of the PST by a duly constituted Board of Medical Officers.

• Step 5 : Review Medical Examination (RME) - Candidates declared "Unfit" in the MET are given the option to apply and appear for a Review Medical Examination upon submitting consent within 24 hours.
