How to Apply

• Visit the official website : Go to https://bpsconline.bihar.gov.in to begin the registration process.  

• Register as a new user : Click on the "New User Registration" button to create your account using a valid, active email ID and mobile number.  

• Access the dashboard : Log in using your mobile number/email ID and the password you created.  

• Complete OTR : Ensure all details are filled accurately, as there is no provision to change your name, father's/mother's name, gender, Aadhaar number, or date of birth later.  

• Link Digilocker : Once registered, the Digilocker "Meri Pehchan" portal will open; sign in or create an account if you do not have one to provide consent to OAMS.  

• Link documents : If you have already uploaded documents to Digilocker, you can link them directly to your application; otherwise, you may choose to skip this and proceed directly to the application portal.  

• Fill out personal details : Complete the six mandatory steps: Personal Information, Address, Other Information, Qualification, Experience, and Photo/Signature upload.  

• Upload documents : Ensure you have your scanned photograph (live capture via webcam) and English/Hindi signatures (meeting specified pixel and size requirements) ready for upload.  

• Lock your profile : After verifying that all information is correct, click "Submit" and "Lock Profile" to enable the option to apply for active advertisements.  

• Select advertisement : Go to the "New Advertisement" tab, select the relevant notification for Assistant Environmental Scientist, and click "View" followed by "Check Advertisement Criteria".  

• Submit and pay fees : Complete the application form and proceed to "Submit & Pay Fees" to finish the payment process.  

• Print application : After successful submission, go to the "My Account" tab to download and print two copies of your completed application.  

Important Notes :

• Application Period : Online applications can be submitted from August 27, 2025, to September 19, 2025.  

• Verification : Ensure all original certificates (educational, experience, caste, etc.) are available for verification, as you must submit these when requested by the Commission.  

• Accuracy : Any discrepancies found between your online data and original documents may lead to the cancellation of your candidature.  

Selection Process

• Written Examination : Candidates must appear for a competitive written exam consisting of two objective-type papers (General Studies and an optional subject) totaling 400 marks.  

• Weightage for Experience : Candidates with previous contractual service in the same position within Bihar government departments/institutions will receive weightage (up to a maximum of 25 marks) added to their written exam scores.  

• Interview (Oral Examination) : Based on the combined scores of the written examination and experience weightage, qualified candidates (2.5 times the number of vacancies) will be invited for an interview worth 50 marks.  

• Document Verification : Candidates must present original certificates and documents for verification during the interview stage.  

• Merit List Preparation : The final merit list will be prepared based on the total marks obtained in the written exam, the experience weightage, and the interview.
