How to Apply?

  • Step 1 : Account Creation (New Registration) — Go to the official website at rrbapply.gov.in, select CEN 02/2026, click "Create an Account", and fill in your basic personal particulars, email ID, and mobile number to verify via OTP.

  • Step 2 : Identity Verification — Authenticate your identity using your Aadhaar number along with your PAN card details to proceed with the registration.

  • Step 3 : Portal Login and Region Selection — Log back into the portal using your registered credentials, choose your target regional RRB zone, and select your preferred examination language.

  • Step 4 : Personal and Demographic Details — Fill in your address details, community category (UR, OBC, SC, ST, EWS), religion, marital status, and visible identification marks.

  • Step 5 : Educational Qualifications Input — Enter your academic background starting from Matriculation (10th) followed by technical qualifications such as ITI, Apprenticeship certificates, or B.Sc./Engineering degrees depending on the post.

  • Step 6 : Live Photograph and Signature Capture — Use your webcam or phone camera to capture a live photograph directly in the portal interface, then upload your scanned signature file.

  • Step 7 : Fee Payment Processing — Pay the required application fee online through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI options based on your applicant category.

  • Step 8 : Final Form Submission and Printout — Preview all entered details thoroughly, click the final submit button, and download or print a physical copy of the completed application form for future verification.

Selection Process

  • Stage 1 : Computer-Based Test (CBT) — An objective-type online exam consisting of 100 questions for 100 marks with a duration of 90 minutes. A negative marking of 1/3rd mark applies for every incorrect answer. Separate CBT papers are conducted for Technician Grade-I Signal and Technician Grade-III posts.

  • Stage 2 : Document Verification (DV) — Candidates are shortlisted based on their merit and performance in the CBT. Shortlisted applicants must present original educational certificates, identity proofs, caste/community certificates, and other required credentials for verification.

  • Stage 3 : Medical Examination — The final stage evaluates candidates against strict physical fitness, general health, and vision standards (such as distance/near vision and color blindness tests) prescribed by the railway administration for specific technical categories.
