How to Apply?

• Step A : Website Navigation - Visit the NLC India Limited Careers Portal : Navigate to www.nlcindia.in, then go to Careers and select Trainees & Apprentices.

• Step B : Link Selection - Click the Application Link : Click on the "Apply Online (Trade and Non Engineering Graduate Apprentice)" link under Advt. No. L&DC/04/2026.

• Step C : Registration Timing - Verify Application Window : Ensure you apply between 21 October 2026 (10:00 AM) and 09 November 2026 (5:00 PM).

• Step D : Document Preparation - Prepare Required Scanned Documents : Gather your photograph, signature, TC, ID card, educational mark sheets, and category certificates according to specified size limits.

• Step E : Form Completion - Fill Out the Online Application : Complete all required details accurately within the online registration portal. 

• Step F: Document Uploads - Upload Scanned Certificates : Attach all mandatory documents and merged PDF files as specified for your specific trade or graduate category.

• Step G : Final Submission - Submit and Save the Application : Review your details and finalize the online submission before the closing deadline.

Selection Process

• Step A : Merit Evaluation - Merit Based on Qualifying Marks : Selection is determined solely by the percentage of marks obtained in the respective qualifying examinations (no written test or interview is conducted).

• Step B : Trade Apprentices - ITI Marks Calculation : Trade Apprentices are selected based on the total percentage of marks secured in the qualifying ITI examination.

• Step C : Graduate Apprentices - Degree Marks Calculation : Graduate (Non-Engineering) Apprentices are evaluated using the percentage of marks scored in their final qualifying Bachelor's degree examination.

• Step D : CGPA Conversion - University Conversion Rules : If grades or CGPA are awarded instead of marks, percentages are calculated using the official university conversion procedure, or by multiplying the CGPA by a factor of 10 if no scheme exists.

• Step E : Tie-Breaker Policy - Age Preference for Ties : If multiple candidates achieve identical cutoff percentages, preference is given to the older candidate based on their date of birth.

• Step F : Document Validation - Verification of Certificates : Selected candidates must clear subsequent certificate and document verification stages before final enrollment.
