Essential Education Qualification

  • Computer Programmer : Bachelor’s degree in Science with training in Computer Programming and Operation. Minimum three years’ experience in Computer Programming and Operation, including at least one year’s experience of working in a scientific institution.
  • Junior Assistant : 12th with Diploma in Computer Operation (DOEACC) Society’s (CCC) certificate or a certificate of equivalent level, Typing (English : 30 wpm / Hindi : 25 wpm).
  • Computer Operator : Graduate with training in Computer Operation and Programming.
  • EPABX Operator : Graduate with training in EPABX and Post & Telegraph Department training.
  • Accountant : Graduate degree in Commerce with Accountancy. Two years’ experience of working in any Government / Semi-Government /Autonomous / Public Sector Undertaking.
  • Private Secretary : Bachelor’s degree in any subject and Typing (English : 30 wpm / Hindi : 25 wpm).
  • Stenographer : 12th Passed, Hindi Shorthand Speed : 80 wpm & Hindi Typing : 25 wpm, Computer Course.
  • Accounts Clerk : Graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, along with knowledge of computer applications and accounting.

How to Apply?

  • Step 1 : Check Eligibility - Verify that you meet the essential educational qualifications, experience criteria, and age limit of 21 to 40 years as of September 17, 2026.

  • Step 2 : Visit Official Website - Go to the official UPCAR website at www.upcar.up.gov.in or www.onlineupcar.com to access the online application portal.

  • Step 3 : Register Online - Fill out the registration details with your basic information to generate your login credentials for the recruitment portal.

  • Step 4 : Fill Application Form - Log in and complete the online application form with your personal details, educational qualifications, and post-specific information.

  • Step 5 : Upload Documents - Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and necessary certificates as per the prescribed format and size requirements.

  • Step 6 : Pay Application Fee - Pay the non-refundable fee online (Rs. 500 examination fee + Rs. 70 processing fee plus applicable convenience fees and GST) using Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.

  • Step 7 : Submit and Print - Review all entered details carefully, submit the final application form before October 9, 2026 (11:59 PM), and print a hard copy for your future reference.

Selection Process

  • Tier-I Written Test : Candidates must first appear for an OMR-based written test consisting of objective multiple-choice questions in both English and Hindi, which may be normalized and features a negative marking of $1/4$ for each wrong answer.

  • Tier-II Skill Test : Candidates qualifying Tier-I move to Tier-II, which involves a Trade, Skill, or Computer Proficiency Test (wherever applicable) that is strictly qualifying in nature.

  • Merit List Preparation : The final merit list is prepared exclusively based on the scores obtained by candidates in the Tier-I OMR-based written test.

  • Tie-Resolution Criteria : If multiple candidates secure equal marks in Tier-I, ties are resolved first by giving a higher rank to the older candidate by date of birth, and then by the alphabetical order of their names in English.

  • Document Verification : Final provisional selections and candidatures remain subject to the verification of all original documents and certificates by the Appointing Authority.
