• Essential Educational Qualification :— According to Rule-8 of Part-4 of the Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Department Junior Engineer Service Rules, 2015, a candidate for recruitment to the post of Junior Engineer in the service must possess the following qualifications:
  • (1) Must have passed the High School Examination of the Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Uttar Pradesh or any other examination recognized by the Government as equivalent thereto.
  • (2) Three-year Diploma in Agricultural Engineering from the Board of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh or any qualification recognized by the Government as equivalent thereto which is approved by AICTE.
• Preferential Qualification :—According to Rule-9 of Part-4 of the Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Department Junior Engineer Service Rules, 2015, other things being equal, such candidate will be given preference who has :-
  • (1) Served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years; or
  • (2) Obtained a 'B' certificate of National Cadet Corps. -

Selection Process

• Stage 1 (PET Shortlisting) : Initial screening and shortlisting of candidates based on their valid UPSSSC PET 2025 normalized score.

• Stage 2 (Main Written Examination) : A competitive written exam comprising 100 objective-type questions (covering Technical Agriculture Engineering, Computer/IT concepts, and UP General Knowledge) carrying a total of 100 marks with 1/4th negative marking.

• Stage 3 (Document Verification) : Detailed verification of original educational certificates, category documents, and identity proofs for candidates who qualify the written exam.

• Stage 4 (Medical Examination) : Final medical fitness and background verification as mandated by the Uttar Pradesh government service rules prior to appointment.
