• Step 1 : Check Eligibility - Read the advertisement carefully to ensure you fulfill all essential qualifications, age limits, and criteria before applying.

• Step 2 : Prepare Valid Email ID - Create or ensure you have a valid, active email ID that will remain functional throughout the entire recruitment process.

• Step 3 : Access Official Portal - Go to the official website at www.neeri.res.in or http://career.neeri.res.in to access the online application link.

• Step 4 : Register Online - Register on the portal using your full name, email ID, and mobile number to generate your login credentials.

• Step 5 : Fill Application Form - Log in and complete the online application form accurately with all required personal, educational, and professional details.

• Step 6 : Pay Application Fee - Deposit the non-refundable application fee of Rs. 500/- via the SBI Collect online payment link (SC/ST/PwBD/Women/Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted).

• Step 7 : Upload Documents - Upload your scanned recent passport-size colour photograph (max 50 KB), signature (max 50 KB), and necessary supporting certificates in .pdf format (max 1 MB each), including the fee e-receipt.

• Step 8 : Verify and Submit - Review the filled application form thoroughly to ensure correctness, finalize it, and click on 'Submit' to complete the draft application.

• Step 9 : Print and Save - Take a mandatory printout of the successfully submitted online application and payment details by 05:00 P.M. on 15 October, 2026 for future reference.

Selection Process

• Step 1 : Screening of Applications - A duly constituted Screening Committee evaluates all online applications based on criteria and documents furnished to shortlist eligible candidates.

• Step 2 : Trade Test / Skill Test - Shortlisted candidates are first invited for a qualifying Trade Test in the relevant area or discipline.

• Step 3 : Competitive Written Examination - Candidates who qualify the Trade Test are invited to appear for a competitive written examination consisting of three papers (Paper-I, Paper-II, and Paper-III).

• Step 4 : Evaluation of Paper-I (Qualifying) - Paper-I (Mental Ability Test) is evaluated first; only candidates securing the minimum threshold marks determined by the Selection Committee will have their Paper-II and Paper-III evaluated.

• Step 5 : Final Merit List Preparation - The final merit list is prepared strictly based on the performance of candidates in Paper-II (General Awareness and English Language) and Paper-III (Concerned Subject) of the competitive written examination.
