• Engineer (RE-Civil) : BE/ B.Tech/ B. Sc. (Engg.) Degree in Civil Engineering with (65% Marks, SC / ST / PH : 55% Marks) and 03 Years Experience.
• Engineer (RE-Electrical) : BE/ B.Tech/ B.Sc.(Engg.) Degree in Electrical/ Electrical or Electronics/ Electrical, Instrumentation & Control/ Power Systems & High Voltage/ Power Electronics/ Power Engineering with (65% Marks, SC / ST / PH : 55% Marks) and 03 Years Experience.
• Engineer (RE-Mechanical) : BE/ B.Tech/ B.Sc.(Engg.) Degree in Mechanical/ Production/ Industrial Engineering/ Production & Industrial Engineering/ Power Engineering with (65% Marks, SC / ST / PH : 55% Marks) and 03 Years Experience.
• Engineer (RE-Safety) : PG Degree / Diploma/ Post Graduate Program in Management with Specialization in Human Resources/ Industrial Relations/ Personnel Management or MHROD or MBA with specialization in HR with (65% Marks, SC / ST / PH : 55% Marks) and 03 Years Experience.
• Executive (RE-HR) : Qualified CA/CMA and Minimum 01 Year post qualification executive experience (excluding article ship period) in the area of Finance/Accounts. 
• Executive (RE-Finance) : Degree in Mechanical/ Production/ Electrical/ Civil/ Power Engineering with a full-time diploma in Industrial Safety from Regional Labour Institute/Institution recognized under the factories Act/Rules or Full Time Engineering Degree in Industrial Safety/ Fire & Safety with (65% Marks, SC / ST / PH : 55% Marks), 03 Years Experience.
• Executive (RE-CSR) : PG Degree/ PG Diploma / PG Programme in Rural Management/ Rural Development/ Displacement/ Resettlement/ Rehabilitation/ Community Development / Local Governance/ Local Development/ Livelihoods/ Social Entrepreneurship/ Social Development/ Social Administration/ Sustainable Development, Development Policy & Practice/ Development Studies or MSW or MBA or Graduate in Engineering with (65% Marks, SC / ST / PH : 55% Marks) and 03 Years Experience.
• Executive (RE-Rajbhasha) : Master’s Degree in Hindi / English and 03 Years Experience.

• Step 1 : Check Eligibility — Verify that you meet the required age limits, qualifications, and post-qualification executive experience specified for your chosen post.

• Step 2 : Gather Documents — Keep scanned copies of your Class X certificate, degree mark sheets, caste/disability certificates (if applicable), experience certificates, and a PAN card ready for uploading.

• Step 3 : Visit Website — Go to the official careers section of the NTPC Green Energy Limited website at www.ngel.in to access the online application portal.

• Step 4 : Register Online — Fill out the application form using a valid email ID and ensure all personal and educational details match your official documents.

• Step 5 : Pay Registration Fee — Pay the non-refundable registration fee of Rs. 500 online using Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, Pre-Paid Card, or UPI (SC, ST, PwBD, XSM, and female candidates are exempt from the fee).

• Step 6 : Upload Documents — Upload all mandatory self-attested certificates, mark sheets, and experience proofs as outlined in the application instructions.

• Step 7 : Submit and Print — Submit the final application form and download/print the system-generated application slip containing your unique registration number for future reference.

Selection Process

• Application Shortlisting / Screening : Management conducts initial shortlisting based on qualifications, percentage of marks, number of years of experience, or raising minimum eligibility standards to restrict the number of candidates.

• Computer Based Test (CBT) : Shortlisted candidates may undergo a bilingual CBT comprising a Subject Knowledge Test (SKT) and an Aptitude Test (AT) featuring multiple-choice questions with negative marking.

• Interview : Candidates shortlisted via CBT or direct shortlisting (if no CBT is conducted) are called for a personal interview, with government organization candidates required to produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC).

• Medical Examination : Selected candidates must undergo a medical examination at a specified government hospital (minimum district hospital status) to be declared medically fit before joining.

• Offer of Appointment : Final appointments are issued based on relative ranks in a merit list prepared from the cumulative total of marks scored across tests, experience, and interviews.
