- Profile Creation and Editing : Complete your URN profile details, keeping in mind that a one-time edit facility is available for URN profile updates prior to final submissions.
- Live Photo Capture : Capture a clear live photograph directly through the portal during the application process alongside your standard photo upload.
- Signature Upload : Sign three times consecutively on a plain white paper using black ink, then scan and upload this clear signature file.

Selection Process |
- Online Application : Apply online through the UPSC recruitment website by completing the Universal Registration, Common Application Form, and post-specific modules before the closing date.
- Computer-Based Shortlisting : The Commission shortlists candidates for interviews by reviewing applications against essential and desirable qualifications, higher educational achievements, or extended experience levels.
- Recruitment Test (RT) : If applicable to specific posts, a combined recruitment test or written examination is conducted at designated national or regional centers.
- Document Verification & Interview Call : Shortlisted candidates receive interview calls and must bring printouts of their online applications alongside original documents and self-attested certificates.
