How to Apply?

• Official Portal Visit : Go to the official Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB) website at www.esb.mp.gov.in.

• Rulebook Review : Read the detailed recruitment rulebook carefully to verify eligibility criteria, educational qualifications, and physical standards.

• Registration & Login : Register as a new user or log in through the citizen user portal on the MP Online platform.

• Form Submission : Fill out the online application form with accurate personal, educational, and contact details before the deadline of September 23, 2026.

• Post Preference Selection : Provide your mandatory post-wise preferences and group selections (Non-Technical or Technical Groups 1/2) based on your eligibility.

• Document Upload : Upload scanned copies of required documents, recent passport-sized photographs, and signatures as per specified dimensions.

• Fee Payment : Pay the prescribed application fee online (Rs. 500 for unreserved candidates; Rs. 250 for reserved/EWS categories of MP domicile) along with applicable portal charges.

• Form Correction : Make any necessary corrections to the submitted online application form between September 9, 2026, and September 28, 2026, if required.

• Print Confirmation : Download and print the final submitted application form and keep the application reference number safe for downloading the admit card.

Selection Process

• Phase 1 : Preliminary Written Examination

  • Serves as an initial screening and qualifying test consisting of multiple-choice questions (100 marks total) covering general knowledge, language comprehension, and basic computer knowledge.

  • Marks obtained in this stage are not counted toward the final merit list, but shortlist roughly 3 times to 10 times the number of vacancies for the next round.

• Phase 2 : Main Written Examination

  • Consists of detailed papers (divided into parts carrying up to 300 marks each) evaluating general studies, technical subjects, reasoning, and data interpretation depending on the chosen post.

  • Features objective-type questions with a negative marking scheme (1/3rd mark deducted for wrong answers).

• Phase 3 : Physical Measurement Test (PMT) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

  • Candidates must meet the strict physical standards (such as height and chest measurements).

  • The PET carries 100 total marks which are added to the final merit score, featuring events like an 800-meter run (40 marks), long jump (30 marks), and shot put (30 marks).

• Phase 4 : Personal Interview

  • Worth 50 marks, this phase evaluates personality, communication skills, and suitability for police service, with scores added directly to the final merit list.

• Phase 5 : Document Verification & Medical Examination

  • Final verification of academic certificates, category credentials, and domicile documents, followed by a rigorous medical fitness evaluation (including vision and general physical checks) prior to appointment.
