Online Registration - Visit the official NIC recruitment portal at https://recruitment.nic.in between September 1, 2026, and September 30, 2026, to complete Step 1 with a valid email ID and mobile number. Fill Form and Upload - Log in to complete Step 2 by filling out the online application form and uploading all required self-attested documents and scanned images. Pay Application Fee - Complete Step 3 by paying the non-refundable fee of Rs. 800/- online (if applicable, as SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates are exempt). Download Confirmation Page - Finish Step 4 by submitting the application and saving the confirmation page, noting your Application ID for all future correspondence.
Selection Process
Initial Screening : Only candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria and register on the NIC portal will be considered. Merit List Preparation : A category-wise merit list is prepared for each discipline based on valid GATE scores (2024, 2025, or 2026) with equal weightage given to all three years. Tie-Breaker Resolution : Ties are resolved sequentially by considering the older GATE score year first, then the older candidate age, and finally a higher percentage in the essential educational qualification. Document Verification : Shortlisted candidates are called to verify original documents (such as birth proof, mark sheets, GATE score card, and category certificates). Provisional Appointment : Eligible candidates who successfully clear document verification are offered provisional appointment.
