Sub EngineerThree-year Diploma in Civil Engineering, or a Degree in Civil Engineering; for electrical post codes, a Diploma or Degree in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
Sub Engineer Civil (Tribal Affairs Code)Higher Secondary passed plus a Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering with at least 50% marks.
Sub Engineer Electrical or MechanicalThree-year Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a State-recognised institution.
Laboratory Technician / Lab Technician / Technical AssistantAt least First Division Diploma in the branch specified against the respective post code — Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Electronics, Fashion Technology, Architecture, Modern Office Management, Hotel Management, Textile Design, Automobile, or Refrigeration & AC.
Draughtsman (Polytechnics)At least First Division Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent diploma; AutoCAD and STAAD trained candidates get preference.

Selection Process

  • Online Application Submission : Step 1 - Candidates must submit their application online through the official MPESB portal within the stipulated registration dates, ensuring all details and required documentation criteria are met.

  • Written Examination : Step 2 - Applicants appear for a single-paper computer-based test comprising 200 multiple-choice questions split between general subjects and relevant technical domain topics.

  • Result & Merit List Declaration : Step 3 - MPESB releases the final merit list and category-wise cut-offs based on the candidates' scores and calculated percentiles.

  • Departmental Document Verification : Step 4 - Selected candidates undergo original educational, technical qualification, and category certificate verification by their respective allocated user departments.

  • Final Appointment & Joining : Step 5 - The competent department issues formal appointment orders to verified candidates, who must join their designated posts within the specified time limit.
