How to Apply

  • One Time Registration (OTR) : Visit https://bpsconline.bihar.gov.in, click "New User Registration," and complete the OTR process using a valid email and mobile number.
  • Log In to Dashboard : Access the application portal by logging in with your registered mobile number/email and the password created during OTR.
  • Digilocker Integration : Link your Digilocker account to the OAMS portal to upload or verify your essential documents.
  • Create Profile : Complete the six-step profile creation process: Personal Information, Address, Other Information, Qualification, Experience, and Photo/Signature upload, then lock your profile.
  • Submit New Application : Navigate to the "New Advertisement" tab, select the Prosecution Officer post, fill in the required details, and submit.
  • Pay Application Fee : Complete the payment of the required examination fee (₹100 plus applicable bank charges, or additional ₹200 if not using Aadhaar).
  • Print Hard Copy : Once submitted, go to the "My Account" tab, view your application, and download/print two copies of the final form for your records.

Selection Process

  • Preliminary Examination : A qualifying objective-type test consisting of two papers (General Studies and Law), where candidates must score the minimum required marks to be shortlisted for the main examination.

  • Main Examination : A descriptive-type test comprising eight papers, including General Studies, Language papers (Hindi and English), and various Law subjects, to assess the candidate's core knowledge.

  • Interview : A final personality test carrying 100 marks, mandatory for candidates who qualify the main examination, to determine final selection based on the combined merit list of the main exam and the interview.
