Selection Process

  • Stage I : Preliminary Exam (Screening Test) :
    • Consists of two papers (General Studies and CSAT), both objective type (MCQs).
    • Prelims is qualifying in nature, intended to select candidates for the Mains.
    • Usually held in two shifts on the same day.
  • Stage II : Main Exam (Descriptive) :
    • Candidates clearing the Prelims cutoff qualify for the Main Exam.
    • Consists of written, descriptive-type papers.
  • Stage III : Interview :
    • Candidates clearing the Mains are called for a final interview/personality test.
