1. Stenographer Grade-II

  • Educational Qualification :

    1. Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University.   

    2. C.P.C.T. Score card exam passed from M.P. Agency for promotion of Information Technology (MAP-IT) or any other Agency/Institution recognized by the M.P. Government.   

    3. Hindi shorthand exam passed with a speed of 100 W.P.M. from Board/Institution recognized by M.P. Government.   

    4. One-year diploma course passed in Computer Application from Institution recognized by M.P. Government.   

2. Stenographer Grade-III & Stenographer Grade-III (Court Manager Staff)

  • Educational Qualification :

    1. Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University.   

    2. C.P.C.T. Score card exam passed from M.P. Agency for promotion of Information Technology (MAP-IT) or any other Agency/Institution recognized by the M.P. Government.   

    3. Hindi shorthand exam passed with a speed of 80 W.P.M. from Board/Institution recognized by M.P. Government.

Important Notes Regarding Computer Qualifications:

  • Deadline : All required educational and technical qualifications must be passed/acquired on or before the last date of online application.   

  • Accepted 1-Year Computer Diplomas : Per the General Administration Department (GAD) of M.P. circular dated 18.08.2015, acceptable computer diplomas include:   

    1. Diploma from any University recognized by UGC.   

    2. Diploma from any Open University recognized by UGC.   

    3. Diploma level examination from DOEACC / National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT).   

    4. Modern Office Management Course from a Government Polytechnic College.   

    5. One-year "Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA)" certificate from a Government ITI.   

  • Alternative Equivalencies : Degrees such as B.E. (CSE/IT), M.C.E., B.Sc. (IT/CS), M.Sc. (IT/CS), M.Tech./M.E., Polytechnic Diploma in Computer Science/Applications/IT from AICTE-approved institutions, or degrees (B.Sc./B.Com.) featuring computer as a single standalone subject (not as a core dedicated branch) are also factored per specific guidelines outlined in the notification rules.

  • Step 2 : Navigate to Recruitment Section - Click on the "Recruitment/Result" button available on the homepage.

  • Step 3 : Access Steno/Assistant Link - Click on the link titled "Click on Online-Application Forms/Admit Cards" and select the advertisement for the Steno-II, III, and AG-III-EK-2026 recruitment.

  • Step 4 : Complete Initial Registration - Click on the Registration link, enter your basic details, and generate your login credentials (User ID and Password) sent via SMS or email.

  • Step 5 : Fill Out Application Form - Log in using your credentials, select your preferred posts (keeping educational eligibility in mind), and carefully fill out the online application form.

  • Step 6 : Upload Documents - Upload scanned copies of your photograph and signature in the specified format and dimensions.

  • Step 7 : Preview Application - Click on the Preview button to review all entered information thoroughly before final submission, ensuring absolute accuracy.

Selection Process

Stage 1: Online Preliminary Examination (100 Marks)

  • Nature of Exam : A screening test comprising objective-type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Each question carries 1 mark, and the total duration is 120 minutes (2 hours).

  • Syllabus Breakdown :

    • General Knowledge + General Studies (including M.P. G.K.) – 20 Questions / 20 Marks

    • Mathematics + Logical Reasoning – 20 Questions / 20 Marks

    • General Hindi – 20 Questions / 20 Marks

    • English Knowledge – 20 Questions / 20 Marks

    • Computer Knowledge – 20 Questions / 20 Marks

  • Shortlisting for Next Stage : Candidates are shortlisted category-wise in a 1:5 ratio (approximately 5 candidates per vacancy) based on their preliminary exam merit to appear for the Skill Test.

  • Note: Marks obtained in the preliminary examination are for screening purposes only and will not be counted towards the final merit list.

Stage 2 : Skill Test / Shorthand & Typing Test (100 Marks)

  • Nature of Exam: Practical skill test conducted on a computer (Transcription/Typing).

  • Test Details by Post :

    • Stenographer Grade-II, III & III (Court Manager Staff) : 5 minutes of Hindi dictation (approx. 400 words) followed by 30 minutes for transcription/typing. Typing transcription must be done in Remington Gail layout.

    • Assistant Grade-III (English Knowing) : 5 minutes of English dictation (approx. 400 words) followed by 30 minutes for transcription/typing.

  • Evaluation & Negative Marking :

    • 1/2 (0.50) mark is deducted for every single error (wrong word, spelling mistake, missing word, punctuation error, extra space, or missing space).

    • If a candidate makes more than 120 errors, their answer sheet will not be evaluated further and they will be awarded zero (00) marks.

  • Minimum Qualifying Marks in Skill Test :

    • Unreserved (UR) & Other Backward Classes (OBC) : 55%

    • Scheduled Castes (SC) : 45%

    • Scheduled Tribes (ST) & PWD (Divyang) : 40%

    • Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) : 49.5%

Final Merit & Selection

  • The final selection list is prepared strictly based on the category-wise merit in the Skill Test, combined with the post preferences chosen by the candidate in their online application and their educational eligibility.

  • In the case of equal marks, the candidate who is older in age is given preference.
