Selection Process

1. Senior Personal Assistant & Personal Assistant (Post Code 805/26)

  • Tier-I (MCQ Test - Shortlisting) : A common computer-based objective test consisting of 90 MCQs (50 marks for General English & Comprehension, 20 marks for General Knowledge including current affairs, and 20 marks for General Intelligence) to be completed in 90 minutes. (Up to 25 times the number of vacancies will be shortlisted for Tier-II).

  • Tier-II (Descriptive Test) : A 75-mark English descriptive test (comprising an essay of 250 words for 30 marks, grammar for 25 marks, and a 20-word translation for 20 marks) conducted over 90 minutes. (Up to 10 times the number of vacancies will be shortlisted for Tier-III).

  • Tier-III (Skill Test) : A qualifying shorthand and typing test (Shorthand at 110 wpm for Senior PA / 100 wpm for PA, and typewriting at 40 wpm). Dictation is for 5 minutes with 40 minutes for transcription, allowing a maximum permissible mistake limit of 4%.

  • Tier-IV (Interview) : An interview carrying 10 marks conducted by the Delhi District Courts, where the final merit list is prepared based on the combined marks secured in Tier-II and Tier-IV.

2. Junior Judicial Assistant (Post Code 806/26)

  • Tier-I (MCQ Test) : An objective test of 120 MCQs (60 marks for General English & Comprehension, 30 marks for General Knowledge including current affairs, and 30 marks for General Intelligence) in 120 minutes. (Up to 25 times the vacancies will be shortlisted for Tier-II).

  • Tier-II (Descriptive Test) : A 100-mark English descriptive test (comprising a 300-word essay for 50 marks, grammar for 30 marks, and a 25-word translation for 20 marks) in 120 minutes. (Up to 10 times the vacancies will be shortlisted for Tier-III).

  • Tier-III (Skill Test) : A qualifying computer typing test at a speed of not less than 40 words per minute.

  • Tier-IV (Interview) : A 15-mark interview conducted by the Delhi District Courts, with the final merit list determined by the combined scores of Tier-II and Tier-IV.

3. Process Server (Post Code 807/26)

  • Tier-I (Objective/MCQ Test) : A 100-question bilingual test (English, Hindi, General Knowledge/Current Affairs, and Arithmetic—25 marks each) for 120 minutes (160 minutes for PwD candidates). (Up to 15 times the vacancies are called for the next stage).

  • Tier-II (Driving / Skill Test) : A qualifying test conducted in real traffic conditions to evaluate LMV driving skills.

  • Tier-III (Interview) : A 15-mark interview conducted by the Office of the Ld. Principal District & Sessions Judge (HQs), where final selection is based on the combined scores of Tier-I and Tier-III.

4. Peon / Orderly / Dak Peon (Post Code 808/26)

  • Tier-I (Objective/MCQ Test) : A 100-question bilingual test covering English, Hindi, General Knowledge (including Current Affairs), and Arithmetic (25 marks each) over 120 minutes (160 minutes for PwD candidates). (Up to 10 times the vacancies are shortlisted for interview).

  • Tier-II (Interview) : A 15-mark interview conducted by the Office of the Ld. Principal District & Sessions Judge (HQs), with final selection determined by combining the scores of Tier-I and Tier-II.
