How to Apply

Step 1 : Sign Up

  • Click the "Sign Up" option to create a unique username and password.

Step 2 : One-Time Registration (OTR)

After signing up, you must complete your OTR profile by providing the following details:

  • Personal information.

  • Educational qualifications.

  • Work experience (if any).

  • Uploads: A recent scanned photograph (max 1 MB) and scanned signature (max 1 MB).

  • Supporting documents: Relevant certificates to verify your claims.

  • Note: This information is stored for future applications.

Step 3 : Complete/Update Profile
  • Ensure your profile is complete. If you need to change your qualification or contact details, edit them at this stage.

Step 4 : Apply for a Post
  • View the list of available posts on the portal.

  • Click the "Apply" button next to Pharmacy Officer (Allopathy) (Post Code 26043).

Step 5 : Preferred Exam District
  • Select your preferred district(s) for the examination from the dropdown menu.

  • Note: HPRCA reserves the right to allot any center based on node availability.

Step 6 : Confirm Application Details
  • The system will automatically populate the application form using your OTR profile.

  • Review all details carefully before proceeding, as incorrect information may lead to disqualification.

Step 7 : Pay Application Fee
  • Fee Amount: Total ₹800 (₹100 examination fee + ₹700 processing fee).

  • Mode: Payment must be made through the "Online Payment Gateway" using a Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking.

  • Note: No other mode of payment is accepted.

Step 8 : Application Submission Confirmation
  • Your application is considered complete only after successful payment.

  • Download and print a copy of the completed application form to bring for future document verification.

Selection Process

Written Screening Test / Computer Based Test (CBT)

The primary selection tool is an objective-type examination.

  • Format : The test consists of 120 multiple-choice questions.

  • Total Marks : 120 marks.

  • Duration : One and a half hours.

  • Mode : The Aayog may conduct the test as a Computer Based Test (CBT) or use OMR sheets if the number of candidates is limited.

  • Syllabus :

    • Subject-specific : Questions related to the level of essential qualifications (Pharmacy).

    • General Knowledge : Includes Himachal Pradesh-specific knowledge and Current Affairs.

    • General Subjects : Everyday Science, Logical Reasoning, Social Science, and Matric-standard English and Hindi.

Minimum Qualifying Marks

Candidates must achieve a minimum benchmark score to be considered for the merit list:

  • General Category : 45%.

  • Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC/WFF) : 40%.

  • Note : If enough candidates do not reach these marks, the Aayog may relax the qualifying percentage by up to 5%.

Normalization (For Multiple Shifts)

If the CBT is held in multiple shifts, scores will be standardized using the Z-Score Method (Mean and Standard Deviation Method) to ensure fairness across different difficulty levels.

Shortlisting and Document Verification
  • Selection Ratio : Candidates will be shortlisted based on their written test merit to attend document verification.

  • Document Scrutiny : Eligibility regarding age, category, and essential qualifications (e.g., Degree/Diploma in Pharmacy and valid Registration with the Pharmacy Council) will be verified using original certificates.

  • Waitlist : A category-wise waiting panel is prepared during the final result phase, which remains valid for one year from the date of recommendation.

Final Appointment
  • Job Trainee Status : Selected candidates will be engaged as Job Trainees as per the Job Trainee Scheme-2025.

  • Monthly Honorarium : A consolidated monthly fixed amount of ₹18,000.

  • Medical Fitness : Recommendations are subject to the candidate being found medically fit and having a clean record regarding past convictions or criminal cases.
