Maximum Upper Age for Ex-servicemen Residing in Punjab

In the case of ex-servicemen resident of Punjab, the upper age limit shall be as per the Punjab Recruitment of Ex-Servicemen Rules, 1982 as amended from time to time. This upper age limit shall be calculated by deducting the period of service done in the army from the age of the person. If the remaining age is not more than 3 years above the upper age limit of the post as per the service rules, then he shall be deemed to have fulfilled the conditions of the upper age limit.

Educational Qualification
Junior Engineer (Civil) – Should possess a three-year diploma in Civil Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized university or institution, or a higher qualification in the same discipline. Junior Engineer (Mechanical) – Should possess a three-year diploma in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized university or institution, or a higher qualification in the same discipline. Junior Engineer (Electrical) – Should possess a three-year diploma in Electrical Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized university or institution, or a higher qualification in the same discipline. Punjabi Language Requirement – Must have passed the Matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects (or any other equivalent Punjabi examination specified by the government). Cut-Off Date for Qualifications – All required educational and technical qualifications must be fulfilled on or before the closing date for online application submission. New Registration - If you do not have an existing login, click on "Registration" and fill out your details, ensuring your Email ID is provided as it will serve as your User ID / Login ID alongside a generated password. Logging In - Log in to the portal using your registered User ID (Email ID) and password, then click on "Apply for Service" to proceed with the application process. Post Selection & Details Entry - Select your desired post (Junior Engineer Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical) based on your technical qualifications, and fill in all required personal and educational information accurately. Photo & Signature Upload - Upload a scanned copy of your signature and a passport-size photograph (or capture a live photo via camera), noting that applications without photos and signatures will be rejected. Draft Saving (Optional) - Click on "Save Draft" if you wish to pause; incomplete draft applications can later be accessed via "Menu > View Status of Application > View Incomplete Application" to complete and submit. Selection Process
Written Examination – An objective-type (Multiple Choice Questions) written exam comprising core engineering and general aptitude subjects. Merit List Preparation – A merit list is compiled strictly based on the candidates' scores in the written examination. Tie-breaking criteria (such as age, qualification percentage, and matriculation marks) are applied if multiple candidates secure identical scores. Document Verification / Counselling – Shortlisted candidates are called for physical verification of their original educational, technical, category, and residency documents. Final Recommendation – Final selection and recommendation of candidates to respective departments depend on successful document verification and the availability of vacancies.
