Selection Process |
Stage 1 : Written Examination (Objective Type / OMR-Based) : The written test is split into two parts : Part-A (Qualifying Paper) : A 50-mark test focused on the Matriculation-level Punjabi language. Candidates must score a minimum of 50% marks (25 out of 50) to qualify. This section has no negative marking. Note: Part-B of an applicant's exam is evaluated only if they clear Part-A. Stage 1: Part-B (Scoring Paper) : A 100-mark merit-based test covering General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Logical Reasoning & Mental Ability, English, Punjabi, and Information & Communication Technology (ICT). Each question carries 1 mark, with a negative marking of 0.25 (1/4th mark) for every incorrect answer.
Stage 2 : Computer-Based Typing Test : Candidates shortlisted based on their Part-B written scores are called for a typing test. Requires a minimum speed of 30 words per minute (wpm) in both English and Punjabi. The Punjabi typing test is conducted using the Unicode-compliant Raavi font. This stage is strictly qualifying in nature.
Stage 3 : Document Verification & Counselling : Candidates who clear the typing test are invited for final document verification, where they must present their original academic, category, and computer certificates. Final Merit List : The final common merit list is prepared solely on the basis of marks secured in Part-B of the written examination, provided the candidate has successfully passed Part-A and the typing test. (There is no interview stage for this recruitment).
