How to Apply

  • Step 1 : Check Eligibility – Ensure you meet the criteria, including being an Indian citizen, holding a 10+2 Intermediate (Science) certificate with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and meeting the age and physical standards.

  • Step 2 : Keep Credentials Ready – Prepare a valid, active mobile number and an email ID registered in your name to receive your registration ID and password.

  • Step 3 : Access Official Website – Visit the CSBC official website at https://csbc.bihar.gov.in and select the "Bihar Police" tab.  

  • Step 4 : Click Advertisement Link – Find and click on the link for Advt. No. 02/2026 to open the online application portal.

  • Step 5 : Complete Part-1 Registration – Fill in your basic details (Name, Nationality, Mobile, Email, Domicile, Category, Gender, and DOB) under Part-1 of the form.

  • Step 6 : Pay Application Fee – Pay the online application fee of ₹100 (plus applicable bank charges) via Net Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card.

  • Step 7 : Log In to Part-2 Application – Use the Registration ID and Password sent to your mobile/email to log in and access the second part of the application form.

  • Step 8 : Fill Personal & Academic Details – Enter your parentage, permanent address, and full intermediate educational qualification details.

  • Step 9 : Upload Photo and Signature – Upload a recent color photograph (white background, 15–25 KB, .jpg/.jpeg/.gif format) and your signatures in both Hindi and English (scanned separately on a white background, 15–25 KB).

  • Step 10 : Review and Edit Details – Click on the "Edit Details" button to review all your information and correct any mistakes before final submission.

  • Step 11 : Final Form Submission – Agree to the declaration and click "Submit" to complete the application process, after which you will receive a confirmation message.

  • Step 12 : Print Acknowledgement Copy – Print the final application acknowledgment form on an A4 size sheet and keep it safe for future reference and document verification.

Selection Process

  • Step 1 : OMR-Based Written Examination – A 2-hour offline exam carrying 100 marks with 100 objective-type questions (25 GK/Current Affairs, 25 Physics, 25 Chemistry, 25 Math) based on the 10+2 syllabus, where a minimum of 30% marks is required to qualify.

  • Step 2 : Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – A qualifying-nature test for candidates shortlisted from the written exam (in a 1:5 ratio per category), consisting of mandatory events like Running, High Jump, and Shot Put.

  • Step 3 : Physical Standard Test (PST) – A screening process conducted alongside PET to verify that candidates meet the prescribed minimum physical dimensions for height, chest (for men), and weight (minimum 48 kg for women).

  • Step 4 : Document Verification (DV) – A critical review where successful PET candidates must produce all original academic, age, domicile, and category-specific reservation certificates at the designated venue.

  • Step 5 : Merit List Formulation – The creation of the final merit list based strictly on the normalized scores obtained by candidates in the written examination.

  • Step 6 : Medical Examination & Character Verification – A final health assessment (checking for color blindness, flat-foot, knocking-knee, stammering, etc.) and background check conducted by the appointment authority before joining.
