Educational Qualification

Here is the post-wise educational qualification and required experience as specified in Annexure-1 of Employment Notice No. 07/2026, presented in a non-tabular format:   

• Ward Overseer

  • Essential Qualification : Matriculation (10th Pass) from a recognized board.

  • Experience : 1 year of relevant experience in a veterinary clinic / hospital.

• Head Mali

  • Essential Qualification : Matriculation (10th Pass) from a recognized board.

  • Experience : 1 year of relevant experience (training from HSPM/ASCI recognized institutes preferred).

• Milk Recorder

  • Essential Qualification : Matriculation (10th Pass) from a recognized board.

  • Experience : 1 year of experience in a relevant government institution, university, or PSU.

• Fisherman

  • Essential Qualification : Matriculation (10th Pass) from a recognized board.

  • Experience : 1 year of experience in fish farming / relevant government or semi-government organization.

• OT Assistant

  • Essential Qualification : 10+2 or equivalent with a Diploma in Operation Theatre Technology.

  • Experience : Must be registered with the State Pharmacy Council.

• Feed Plant Technician

  • Essential Qualification : 10+2 in Science stream with a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Experience : Relevant plant/technical experience.

• Imaging Technician

  • Essential Qualification : 10+2 in Science stream with a 2-year Diploma in Imaging Technology.

  • Experience : Relevant diagnostic imaging experience.

How to Apply?

• Step 1 : Download Application Form – Download and print the prescribed application form from the official university website at www.basu.org.in.

• Step 2 : Fill Out the Form – Carefully fill in all required entries on the downloaded form either by hand (handwritten) or using a computer.

• Step 3 : Attach Self-Attested Documents – Self-attest photocopies of all required educational certificates, mark sheets, and other supporting documents, and attach them to your application.

• Step 4 : Prepare the Application Fee – Obtain a Demand Draft (DD) for the required fee amount (₹200 for SC/ST/Divyang of Bihar; ₹800 for others) drawn in favor of "Finance Comptroller, Bihar Animal Sciences University, Patna" payable at Patna.

• Step 5 : Enclose NOC (If Applicable) – If you are currently working in a government or semi-government organization, attach the required No Objection-cum-Vigilance Clearance certificate from your current employer.

• Step 6 : Supercribe the Envelope – Clearly write the name of the post applied for and the advertisement number in bold letters on the top of the mailing envelope.

• Step 7 : Dispatch by Registered Post – Send the completed application form, fee DD, and documents via registered/speed post so that it reaches the office of the Registrar, Bihar Animal Sciences University, Patna-800014 on or before 25 November, 2026 by 5:00 PM.

Selection Process

• Stage 1 : Academic and Experience Evaluation

  An initial merit score (typically out of 40 marks) is computed based on academic performance in qualifying exams (such as Matriculation or Intermediate/Graduation) along with any extra points awarded for relevant post-qualification experience beyond the essential requirement.

• Stage 2 : Written Examination

  Shortlisted candidates based on their academic/experience score are called for a competitive written test (comprising multiple-choice questions based on the post-level syllabus, such as Matric standard or general knowledge/mental ability/science/maths).

• Stage 3 : Skill Test / Computer Proficiency Test (Where Applicable)

  Candidates who clear the written examination for designated technical, secretarial, or computer-based operational posts (e.g., Stenographer, Data Console Operator, or specific technical roles) are called to appear for a skill test or computer proficiency test.

• Stage 4 : Document Verification

  Final selection and appointment are subject to the thorough verification of original educational certificates, category/domicile certificates, experience proofs, and fulfillment of all eligibility criteria.
