• Process Technician (Chemical) : Diploma in Chemical Engineering/ Chemical Technology with (60% Marks, SC / ST / PH : 50% Marks) with 1 Year Experience/ Apprenticeship.
• Process Operator / Operator (Chemical) : Diploma in Chemical Engineering/ Chemical Technology with (60% Marks, SC / ST / PH : 50% Marks) with 1 Year Experience/ Apprenticeship.
• Technician / Operator (Mechanical) : Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with (60% Marks, SC / ST / PH : 50% Marks) with 1 Year Experience/ Apprenticeship.
• Technician (Electrical) : Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electrical Power System, or Electrical Engineering (Industrial Control) obtained through a full-time regular course approved by AICTE.
• Key Qualification Parameters

  • Minimum Marks : General, EWS, and OBC (NCL) candidates must secure a minimum of 60% aggregate marks, while SC, ST, and PwBD candidates require a minimum of 50% aggregate marks against reserved vacancies.

  • Work Experience : Candidates for all posts require a minimum of one year of relevant post-qualification work experience or one year of post-qualification apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961. For Posts A and B, this experience must be in a Refining, Lube, Petroleum, Power, Petrochemical, or Fertilizer Industry of repute; for Posts C and D, experience in an Engineering Industry of repute is also accepted.

  • Ineligible Qualifications : Higher professional degrees such as A.M.I.E., B.E., or B.Tech. are not eligible. Diplomas obtained through part-time, correspondence, or distance learning modes are also ineligible. Furthermore, specialized branch variants not explicitly listed (such as Plastic & Polymer or Production Engineering) are excluded.

How to Apply?

• Step 1 : Visit the official BPCL careers website at www.bharatpetroleum.com > Careers to access the recruitment portal.

• Step 2 : Read the detailed advertisement carefully to ensure eligibility before starting the application.

• Step 3: Register on the online application portal using a valid email ID and mobile number (10 digits).

• Step 4 : Fill in all required personal, educational, and experience details accurately in the online application form.

• Step 5 : Upload scanned copies of your recent recognizable photograph, signature, and all relevant supporting documents/certificates.

• Step 6 : Pay the non-refundable application fee of ₹590 (₹500 application fee plus 18% GST) online via the payment gateway if you belong to the General, EWS, or OBC (NCL) categories.

• Step 7 : Submit the online application form on or before the closing date of August 13, 2026 (11:59 PM).

• Step 8 : Download and print a copy of the submitted application form and payment receipt for your future reference.

Selection Process

• Stage 1 : Computer Based Test (CBT) : Objective type test consisting of 100 questions (60 Domain Knowledge, 40 General Aptitude) for 100 marks with a duration of 120 minutes, conducted in English with no negative marking.
• Stage 2 : Skill / Proficiency Test (SPT) : Qualifying test conducted at respective refinery locations for candidates shortlisted from the CBT, where document and certificate verification is also carried out.
• Stage 3 : Pre-Employment Medical Examination : Final medical fitness examination to meet BPCL medical standards before final appointment, with selected candidates required to join within 30 days of the offer.
