  • Preliminary Qualifying Criteria - Candidates must secure the minimum required percentile based on their category (UR/EWS : 50th, OBC : 45th, SC/ST : 40th, with an additional 5 percentile relaxation for PwBD) to be eligible for the next stage.

  • Shortlisting for Stage-II - Qualified candidates equal to 5 times the total available seats in each category, along with all qualified PwBD candidates and tie cases, are shortlisted to appear for the main examination.

  • Stage-II : NORCET Main Examination - An advanced 180-minute computer-based test consisting of 160 case scenario-based MCQs divided into 4 sequential sections focused on testing nursing skills competency, featuring a $1/3$ negative marking scheme.

  • Main Qualifying Criteria - Candidates must achieve the minimum passing percentage in Stage-II (UR/EWS: 50%, OBC: 45%, SC/ST: 40%, with a 5% relaxation for PwBD) to qualify for the final merit list.

  • Resolution of Ties - Equal scores in Stage-II are resolved sequentially by evaluating fewer wrong answers in Stage-II, higher marks in Stage-I, fewer wrong answers in Stage-I, older date of birth, and finally by alphabetical order.

  • Choice Filling and Seat Allocation - Qualified and eligible candidates submit their institute preferences online, followed by a single round of seat allocation managed strictly by merit, order of preference, and reported vacancies.

  • Document Verification and Joining - Provisionally allocated candidates must produce and verify all original educational, experience, category, and identity certificates at their assigned institute, where failure to submit mandatory documents or failure to join the allocated seat results in cancellation of candidature.
