How to Apply

• Visit the Official Portal : Go to the official CSBC website at https://csbc.bihar.gov.in and select the Prohibition Dept., Home (Prison) Dept., or Transport Dept. tab.

• Access the Application Link : Click on the link for Advertisement Notification No. 03/2025 to open the registration webpage.

• Complete Part-I Registration : Fill in your basic details, including full name, active mobile number, and valid email ID to initialize the profile.

• Pay the Examination Fee : Select your category and make the required online application fee payment using net banking, credit, or debit cards.

• Receive Credentials : Secure your system-generated unique Registration ID and Password sent via SMS and email for logging into the portal.

• Fill Out Part-II Application Form : Log in using your credentials and enter your personal profile information, family background, and address details.  

• Enter Academic Information : Input your educational details including Matriculation (10th) and Intermediate (10+2) board qualifications.

• Select Post Preferences : Indicate your hierarchy of choices among the Prohibition Constable, Mobile Squad Constable, and Jail Warder posts.

• Upload Documents : Upload your recently photographed passport-size image and digital signature matching the official dimensions and size guidelines.

• Review application details : Open the application preview screen to double-check all spelling, certificate numbers, and selected reservation categories.

• Submit the final application : Click the declaration check-box and submit the completed form to generate your final confirmation page.

• Print Confirmation Copy : Download and print a physical copy of the submitted application form for future verification and reference.

Selection Process

• Step 1 : Scrutiny of Applications – The Central Selection Board of Constable reviews all submitted forms, and candidates with correct applications are advanced to the examination stage.

• Step 2 : Written Examination – Candidates appear for a 100-mark, 2-hour objective OMR-based test covering matric-level subjects, which serves strictly as a qualifying gateway.

• Step 3 : Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – Shortlisted candidates undergo a 100-mark physical test featuring three mandatory segments: running, shot put, and high jump.

• Step 4 : Scrutiny of Documents – Successful candidates from the physical round must present all original education, age, identity, and category-specific reservation certificates for strict verification.

• Step 5: Final Merit List Formulation – The ultimate selection roster is compiled directly based on the aggregate marks secured by candidates across all three events of the Physical Efficiency Test.
