Visit the Official Website : Go to the official HPSC website at hpsc.gov.in. Locate the Advertisement : Click on the "Advertisements" section and find Advt. No. 23/2026 for PGT Computer Science (Rest of Haryana and Mewat Cadre). One-Time Registration (OTR) : If not registered already, create your account using your mobile number and email ID. Fill the Application Form : Log in, select the post, and carefully fill in personal, educational (M.Sc./MCA/B.E./B.Tech + HTET/STET), and experience details. Upload Documents : Upload scanned copies of your passport-size photograph, signature, and essential qualifications (certificates) as per the required specifications (JPG/JPEG/PNG). Pay the Application Fee : Pay the application fee online using the payment gateway. General/OBC/Other States : ₹1,000 SC/ST/PWD/EWS : ₹250 Submit and Print : Submit the final form, then download, sign, and print a hard copy of the submitted form for your records.
Selection Process
Screening Test (Optional/Qualifying) : Purpose : Shortlist candidates (4 times the number of vacancies) for the Subject Knowledge Test. Structure : 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), 100 marks, 2 hours duration. Qualifying Marks : Minimum 25% marks required. Note : Marks in this test are generally not counted towards final merit. Subject Knowledge Test (Crucial Stage) : Purpose : Evaluate subject-specific knowledge in Computer Science. Structure : 150 marks, 3 hours duration. Weightage : 87.5% of the total merit. Minimum Requirement : 35% marks are necessary to qualify for the next stage. Interview / Viva-Voce : Structure : Carries 12.5% weightage in the final merit. Candidates Called : Usually twice the number of vacancies (2 times the vacancies) are called based on the Subject Knowledge Test. Document Verification : Candidates must produce original documents for verification, including educational qualifications (M.Sc./MCA/B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science/IT), HTET/STET certificate, caste certificate, and matriculation certificate for age/Hindi subject proof. Medical Examination : Final medical examination to determine suitability for the post.
