How to Apply?

• Step 1 : Download & Review Brochure — Visit the official JSSC website ([https://jssc.jharkhand.gov.in](https://jssc.jharkhand.gov.in)), download the brochure, read all the terms and conditions carefully, and ensure you meet the eligibility criteria before applying.

• Step 2 : Keep Documents Ready — Keep your scanned photograph, full signature, and all required certificates (educational, caste, local residence, etc.) ready in the correct format.

• Step 3 : Initial Registration — Go to the JSSC website, click on "Online Application for JAJCE-2025", and complete your registration by providing basic details to receive your registration number and password via SMS and email.

• Step 4 : Fill Detailed Application Form — Log in again using your registration number and password, fill in all your personal and academic details carefully, and make sure the spelling of your name matches your Matriculation/10th certificate.

• Step 5 : Pay Examination Fee — Click on "Submit To Proceed Payment", accept the terms and conditions, select "JAJCE-2025" from the payment category, enter your registration number, and pay the required fee.

• Step 6 : Upload Photo & Signature — Upload your scanned photograph and full signature after the fee payment is successfully completed.   

• Step 7 : Final Submission & Printout — Review all entered information thoroughly, submit the final application form, and take a printout of it for future reference.

• Step 8 : Application Correction (If Needed) — If any correction is required (except for name, date of birth, email ID, and mobile number), use the correction link provided on the website between December 11, 2025, and December 13, 2025.

Selection Process

• Stage 1 : Physical Efficiency Test (PET)   

  • Candidates must first clear the physical measurement and physical endurance test (running of 1 mile in 6 minutes for males and 10 minutes for females, along with chest measurements for males).

  • This stage is strictly qualifying (Arhak) in nature and carries no marks.

• Stage 2 : Written Examination

  • Candidates who qualify in the Physical Efficiency Test will be called for a written examination, which may comprise a Preliminary Examination and a Main Examination (Note: A preliminary exam is generally not held if the number of successful candidates in the PET is less than 50,000).

  • Main Examination Structure : The main exam consists of three papers conducted in separate shifts (2 hours each) :

    • Paper 1 : Language Knowledge (Hindi and English) - Qualifying nature (minimum 30% required).

    • Paper 2 : Selected Tribal/Regional Language (100 questions) - Minimum 30% passing marks required.

    • Paper 3 : General Studies, General Science, General Math, Mental Ability, Computer Knowledge, and Jharkhand State GK (150 questions) - Minimum 30% passing marks required.

  • Merit list is prepared based on the normalized marks obtained in the Main Examination.

• Stage 3 : Medical Examination

  • Candidates shortlisted in order of merit (roughly three times the number of total vacancies) are called for a medical fitness examination conducted by a medical board.

  • This checks for physical deformities, vision, colour blindness, hearing, stammering, and communicable/mental diseases.

• Final Step : Document Verification & Appointment

  • After the medical examination, the final merit list is prepared, followed by the verification of original documents and certificates (such as educational, caste, and local residence proofs) before final appointment.
