How to Apply?

• Step 1 : Read the Advertisement Carefully - Candidates are advised to carefully read the full advertisement for details of educational qualifications and other eligibility criteria before submission of online application.

• Step 2 : Register on Apprenticeship Portal - Register online as a Trade Apprentice at the Government of India portal (www.apprenticeship.gov.in).

• Step 3 : Search and Select Establishment - Select "Establishment Search" under the establishment menu on the apprenticeship portal and select Hindustan Copper Limited, Malanjkhand Copper Project.

• Step 4 : Generate and Note Unique Registration Number - Obtain the unique registration number generated on the website (format Axxxxxxxxx) and enter it in the appropriate column during the HCL application step.

• Step 5 : Verify Candidate Profile Details - Ensure the profile matches the 10th or ITI mark sheet details (Name, Father's Name, Mother's Name, Date of Birth, Aadhar, etc.) to avoid disqualification, and ensure it is 100% Aadhar verified along with submitting the profile copy.

• Step 6 : Update Bank and eKYC - Update the bank account details and eKYC in the candidate's apprenticeship profile.

• Step 7 : Enter Educational Qualifications - Properly enter educational qualifications in the profile (ITI cadre filled with ITI mark sheet details, or Fresher entered as 10th pass with 10th mark sheet details).

• Step 8 : Apply on HCL Opportunity - Apply online against the trade opportunity creation of Malanjkhand Copper Project, HCL, on the portal and submit the applied copy print details along with the application form.

• Step 9 : Submit Online Application on HCL Website - Submit the application online through the HCL website (www.hindustancopper.com) under the 'One Applicant - One Application' system.

• Step 10 : Upload Required Documents - Upload a passport-size color photograph (size less than 50 KB), signature in black ink (size less than 50 KB) in .jpg format, and an affidavit in PDF format (size less than 1 MB) if ITI was passed in 2025 or prior.

• Step 11 : Print Acknowledgment and Application - Print and retain a copy of the computer-generated online application and acknowledgment slip for future reference.

Selection Process

• Step 1 : Shortlisting Based on Merit - Candidates are selected on the basis of merit determined by marks obtained in ITI and the 10th-grade board exam.

• Step 2 : Applying Weightage Formula - A weightage of 30% is given to marks scored in the relevant trade in ITI, and a weightage of 70% is given to marks scored in the 10th board (except for trades requiring no ITI, such as Mate Mines and Blaster Mines, where 100% weightage is given to 10th board marks).

• Step 3 : Tie-Breaker Resolution - If two or more candidates secure equal marks while preparing the merit list, the candidate of higher age is considered.

• Step 4 : Publication of Shortlisted Candidates - The list of short-listed candidates is published on the company website on the designated date (08.12.2026).

• Step 5 : Document and Testimonial Verification - Candidature remains provisional and subject to the subsequent verification of certificates and testimonials.

• Step 6 : Medical Fitness Examination - Selected trade apprentices undergo a medical fitness examination and must be declared medically fit as per the requirements of Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL).
