Educational Qualification

General Educational Qualification Requirement

To be eligible for any of the Lecturer posts, candidates must possess :

• A Postgraduate degree (Post Graduation / Equivalent) in the relevant subject from a recognized university/institution with at least a Second Class.   

• A B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) degree.

Subject-Wise Postgraduate Qualification Requirements

• 1. Hindi

  • Postgraduate degree in Hindi.

• 2. English

  • Postgraduate degree in English.

• 3. Sanskrit

  • Postgraduate degree in Sanskrit, Classics, or Acharya.

• 4. Physics (भौतिकी)

  • Postgraduate degree in Physics, Electronics, Applied Physics, or Nuclear Physics.

• 5. Political Science (राजनीति विज्ञान)

  • Postgraduate degree in Political Science or Public Administration.

• 6. History (इतिहास)

  • Postgraduate degree in History or Ancient Indian History.

• 7. Geography (भूगोल)

  • Postgraduate degree in Geography.

• 8. Economics (अर्थशास्त्र)

  • Postgraduate degree in Economics, Applied Economics, or Business Economics.

Important Notes on Qualifications

• NCTE Guidelines : The educational qualifications for all the above posts will be recognized in accordance with the notifications issued from time to time by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and the judgments passed by the Hon'ble Courts.

• Deadline for Certificates : Candidates must obtain all required educational and other qualification certificates on or before the closing date for online applications specified by the Chhattisgarh Staff Selection Commission (CGSSB).

How to Apply?

• Step 1 : Check Eligibility : Ensure you meet the minimum age requirements (21 to 35 years as of January 1, 2026, with relaxations for reserved categories) and possess the required postgraduate degree in the relevant subject along with a B.Ed. qualification.

• Step 2 : Visit Website : Go to the official website of the Chhattisgarh Staff Selection Commission (CGSSB / CG Vyapam) at https://vyapamcg.cgstate.gov.in/.

• Step 3 : Select Post : Locate the notification for Lecturer Direct Recruitment 2026 and choose your desired subject (note that candidates can apply for only one subject).

• Step 4 : Register & Fill Form : Complete the online application form with accurate personal, educational, and category details.

• Step 5 : Upload Documents : Upload scanned copies of required documents, certificates, and photographs as per the specifications provided by CGSSB.

• Step 6 : Pay Application Fee : Pay the required examination or application fees online through the designated payment gateway.

• Step 7 : Submit & Print : Submit the final application form before the closing date and print a copy of the confirmation page for your records.

Selection Process

• Step 1 : Online Application Submission — Eligible candidates must submit their applications online through the official Chhattisgarh Staff Selection Commission (CGSSB) website within the stipulated deadline.

• Step 2 : Written Recruitment Examination — Candidates will appear for a written competitive examination conducted by CGSSB, which is tentatively scheduled for November 29, 2026.

• Step 3 : Release of Selection and Merit Lists — Based on the written exam performance, the authorities will prepare and publish the final selection list along with a waiting list (valid for specified periods).

• Step 4 : Document Verification & Medical Examination — Selected candidates must undergo document verification, physical fitness/medical checks, and bench-mark disability assessments (where applicable) before final appointment.
