Essential Qualification

• Essential Qualification :

  1. M.Tech/ M.E. /M.S. (Computer Science/ Information Technology / Electronics & Communication) atleast with 55% marks or equivalent grade point from a recognized Institution/ University with relevant work experience of minimum 5 years.ORB. Tech./B.E. (Computer Science/Information Technology /Electronics & Communication) or MCA or M.Sc Computer Science (with B.Sc. Computer Science) atleast with 55% marks or equivalent grade point from a recognized Institution/ University with relevant work experience of minimum 7 years.ORM.Sc (Computer Science/Information Technology) with B.Sc in any Science subject atleast with 55% marks or equivalent grade point from a recognized Institution/ University with relevant work experience of minimum 8 years.

  2. Experience in Industry /University level Computer Centre in the areas of server configuration, storage systems, backup systems, Linux/Unix Software Engg./Design and Validation, Databases, Computer Network.

Maintenance Engineer (Junior) (Level 10)

• Essential Qualification :

  1. B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics & Communication Engineering/Computer Science & Engineering atleast with 55% marks or equivalent grade point from a recognized Institution/ University.

  2. Five years experience at appropriate level in PSUs/Private organization/ University level of Computer Network administration and Computer hardware including Massive UPS systems and Centralized Air-conditioning Plants/ Computer Systems Management and administration /Maintenance of a campus wide large computer network preferably with fibre optic backbone links.

Computer Operator Gr.-I (Level 5)

• Essential Qualification : B.Sc in Computer Science atleast with 55% marks or equivalent grade point from a recognized Institution/ University.ORBCA atleast with 55% marks or equivalent grade point from a recognized Institution/ University. OR

• B.Sc. atleast with 55% marks or equivalent grade point from a recognized Institution/University with PGDCA from recognized Institution.

AC Operator (Level 3)

• Essential Qualification :

  1. ITI (Refrigeration and Air Conditioning) from NCVT/SCVT accredited ITIs.

  2. 2 year experience in operation and maintenance of Air-conditioning plants, including VRV system of capacity over 500 TR in University/ Research establishment/ Central/State Govt./PSU/ other autonomous bodies.

Laboratory Attendant (Level 1)

• Essential Qualification :

  1. Intermediate with science.

  2. Certificate Course in computer hardware of minimum six months duration from a recognized institution.

Workshop Attendant (Level 1)

• Essential Qualification :

  1. High School from a recognized examining body.

  2. ITI in Electrician/Plumber/Fitter/Welder/ Wireman Trade from NCVT/SCVT accredited ITIS.

  3. One year experience in concerned trade. The experience should be in the relevant trade in State Government or similar organized services/ Statutory or Autonomous organization/University System or reputed private organizations with an annual turnover of at least Rs.50 Crores or more.

• Online Registration : Register first on the Recruitment & Assessment Cell portal on the BHU website (www.bhu.ac.in/rac).

• Electronic Application : Fill out the prescribed electronic application form online after registration.

• Document Upload : Upload a digital passport-size photograph and your signature in JPEG format (not exceeding 50 kb each).

• Review Information : Review all entries across the application tabs carefully, as no changes can be made after final submission.

• Final Submission : Submit the completed online application form.

• Fee Payment : Pay the applicable non-refundable application fee online through the payment gateway using Internet Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI.

• Download Form : Download the completed hard copy of the application form after successful submission.

• Hard Copy Submission : Submit the downloaded application form along with all required enclosures to the Office of the Registrar, Recruitment & Assessment Cell, Holkar House, BHU, Varanasi - 221005 (U.P.) on or before 30 November, 2026.

Selection Process

• Step 1 : Online Application Submission — Register and submit your application online through the BHU website, followed by sending the printed hard copy with all enclosures to the university.

• Step 2 : Screening and Shortlisting — The University constitutes a screening committee to shortlist candidates based on minimum eligibility criteria, higher qualifications, relevant experience, or other parameters.

• Step 3 : Written Test and Skill Test — Shortlisted candidates are required to appear for a written test and/or a skill/demonstration test, the syllabus and details of which are notified by the University.

• Step 4 : Document Verification — Candidates shortlisted from the tests are called for the verification of their original documents.

• Step 5 : Final Appointment — Final selection and appointment are made based on performance, subject to the verification of antecedents and documents.
