Noida Airport to begin commercial flights from June 15

Fasten your seatbelts. 15th June 2026 You heard it first on India Today television. Noida International Airport is set to welcome passengers. So it's finally official. 15th June 2026 Noida International Airport has announced that commercial flight operations are ready. They will be beginning commencing from 15th June, opening a new getaway for the passengers. So airlines, cargo operators, all of them will be functioning. So remember after the Delhi International Airport, the Indira Gandhi International Airport, many living on the other side, Noida, for example, Delhi NCR region. We're clearly hopeful that that could be the new initiative that when it begins not only will help the the commuters, the passengers, the airlines, but the area around as much. The real estate prices likely are going up as well. For now, I can tell you that the latest information is Indigo will operate the first flight from the airport. I want to immediately bring in Amit. Bhardwaj closely tracks the Civil Aviation Amit. I know that people residing in Noida were waiting for this moment for the longest time. So which are the initial flights? How will they they begin? What is going to be the process like? And do you think this could be a big boost as much to the airport to the area but to Uttar Pradesh tourism as much? Absolutely right, Pooja. First things first, 15th of June will be the date when the Noida International Airport will see the first flight flying out of the NIA airport, the Noida airport and it is going to be an Indigo flight. So why Indigo? It is important that 3 operators who will be operating from the first phase of Noida International Airport, Indigo, Kasha Air and Air India Express and as expected Indigo would be flying its first, you know will be the first to begin the operations followed by Ikaza and then Air India Express. So the schedule is to come which all destinations they are going to cover, that will be notified as well. But at this point in time, we can certainly confirm to our views that the Noida and Fashion Airport will be operational from June 15th. Now Prime Minister Narendra Modi civilization means Ramohan Naidu and Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogya Adityanath had inaugurated the Noida International Airport and it was only last week when the A SP for Noida International Airport was also cleared. ESP is Erodram Security program security, you know certification, very crucial security certification which is given by the B cash which is responsible for the aviation security. So soon after that ESP certification was handed over to the Noida International Airport, the last formality left in making that airport operational was also covered. So that was also checked on the bucket bucket list and that is why now we have a clear picture of operations to begin 15 June Indigo flight is will be the first to fly from Noida International Airport. Now coming to the point, how is it going to benefit Noida? So Pooja, you know we actually need to look to the purpose of Noida International Airport in a much bigger perspective. It is going to actually declog Delhi, Delhi's IGI airport. It is going to be the go to destination or rather airport for people who are living in western Uttar Pradesh. So just imagine now if you live in areas such as Muzaffarnagar for that matter Meerut and you have to travel all the way to Delhi, the IGI airport just to fly by air or maybe to go to Ghaziabad. It worked a little bit atrocious for them. So it is going to create a very streamlined and accessible airport system for people living in Western. Welcome start for so many people, especially towards the other side of Delhi and NCR. And the first passengers, of course will be the enthusiastic excited ones. So as Amit is telling us, Indigo will operate the first flight there. It will be followed shortly by the Acasa Air and Air India Express and soon therefore they are. So it's going to be very interesting. Don't have to travel all the way through the national capital to catch your flight from 15 June.
