  • Fill the application form : Enter all required details accurately, ensuring the information matches your original documents.  

  • Upload documents : Upload all mandatory documents, including educational certificates, a recent photograph with a white background (with name and date clearly mentioned), and your signature.  

  • Review and submit : Check all fields for correctness before final submission, as no changes can be made once the form is submitted.  

  • Print the application : Download and keep a final printout of your submitted application form along with the uploaded documents for your records. 

Selection Process

  • Step 1 : CET Qualification - Candidates must first qualify the Common Eligibility Test (CET) Group-C with minimum cut-off marks (50% for General, 40% for Reserved categories).
  • Step 2 : Advertisement & Online DAF Submission - HSSC invites electronic applications where eligible candidates must submit an Online Detailed Application Form (DAF) along with mandatory documents and post preferences.
  • Step 3 : Candidate Shortlisting - Out of the applicants, a maximum of 10 times the total advertised posts (1238 vacancies) are shortlisted based on their CET merit to appear in the next stages.
  • Step 4 : Physical Measurement Test (PMT) - Shortlisted candidates must undergo and qualify the standard height and chest measurements (for males) or height measurements (for females) as specified for the posts.
  • Step 5 : Physical Screening Test (PST) - Candidates who pass the PMT undergo a qualifying physical screening test involving a timed run (2.5 km in 12 mins for males, 1.0 km in 6 mins for females) to judge fitness.
  • Step 6 : OMR-Based Written Examination - Qualified candidates take an offline, bilingual (English & Hindi) written test of 100 MCQs for 100 marks with a duration of 1 hour and 45 minutes.
  • Step 7 : Biometric Verification - The Commission captures and verifies biometric data (thumb/facial) at various stages of the examination and scrutiny process to prevent impersonation.
  • Step 8 : Document Scrutiny & Merit List - HSSC scrutinizes the uploaded documents, calculates final scores, and publishes a category-wise shortlist for selection, recommendations, and the waiting list on their website.
  • Step 9 : Final Allocation & Appointment - Recommended candidates are allocated to departments based on merit-cum-preference, following a final genuineness verification of documents by the indenting department at the time of joining.
