Rinku Singh Gifts Blue-Collar Father a Kawasaki Ninja 400 Worth Over Rs 5 Lakh
Indian cricketing phenom Rinku Singh, whose father works as an LPG cylinder deliverer, has gifted his blue-collar Dad a sportbike worth over Rs. 5 Lakh. Khanchand Singh, an employee with the Indian Oil-owned cooking gas company Indane, recently rode a Kawasaki Ninja 400 to his place of work.
Khanchand was filmed taking the motorcycle through the streets of his hometown, Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, where he raised his five children, including Rinku.
Sonu, a fellow left-handed professional who runs the Aligarh School Cricket Academy, brought the news to public attention through social media. Videos shared on Instagram by the cricketer, a close friend of Rinku, show the unveiling of the bike, Khanchand’s first ride and one of his older brothers driving it.
The Ninja 400 costs around Rs. 5.25 lakh in Noida, where the vehicle in question has been registered. Not long ago, having such a possession within the family would have been unthinkable for the Singhs.
Growing up, Rinku and his four siblings lived with their parents in Indane staff quarters. While his father delivered LPG cylinders, the middle child had to choose between mopping the floors at a coaching centre and an uphill struggle of a career in cricket.
Rinku turned down the janitorial job to chase a dream as unlikely as his breakout chase innings for the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kolkata Knight Riders, whom he won a game against Gujarat Titans with five consecutive sixes in the final over at the Narendra Modi Stadium Ahmedabad.
The star T20 finisher proved to his old man, who wanted him to find a stable job and help out with the family’s situation, that his talent was worth much more.
However, Rinku’s professional success could not keep Khanchand from doing his part.
The cricketer’s estimated net worth is between Rs. 7–8 lakh.
