Cristiano Ronaldo Creates History, Leaves Lionel Messi Behind After Remarkable Feat
Cristiano Ronaldo defies age and expectations. After leading Al Nassr to a vital win with a brace against Al Khaleej, the Portugal legend achieved yet another remarkable milestone in his illustrious career. Not only did he add to his impressive goals tally but also broke multiple records and even created a unique one, something which helped him go one up against his long-time rival, Lionel Messi.
Since joining Al Nassr from Manchester United, Ronaldo has kept finding the back of the net, contributing 100 goals (goals plus assists) in just 92 appearances. He also has 830 career victories, which is the most in the history of the game. Ronaldo also leads the list of players who have scored the most goals since turning 30, with 456.
This latest accomplishment shows how Ronaldo has managed to sustain excellence throughout his incredible career. He has also now reached the milestone of contributing to 100 or more goals (goals and assists combined) for every club where he has played more than 70 games. This consistency across different teams and leagues is a testament to his unwavering dedication and his ability to perform at the highest level, regardless of his surroundings. Lionel Messi only achieved this feat at FC Barcelona, making Ronaldo's accomplishment even more remarkable.
While on the one hand, the Portuguese superstar continues to shatter records, last year he stated that he does not really care about individual records anymore.
"It is not important anymore whether I am the best or not, I no longer care about that. It is good for a player to score goals, but for me it is better for the team to win.”
"I am used to breaking records and I no longer look for them. The most important thing for me now is to enjoy and help Al Nassr and my teammates to win."
However, he did admit that he wants to reach the tally of 1000 goals.
"I want to reach 1,000 goals," said the Al Nassr and Portugal star, estimating that the historic mark could come around the age of 41. "If I don't have any injuries, this for me is the most important [thing], I want that. For me, the best mark that I can have in football is to reach, first, 900 goals. After, my challenge is to be at 1,000 goals."
