Urmila Matondkar's ex-husband Mohsin Akhtar marries Nidhaa Bhatt, shares note

Mohsin Akhtar has found love again. The businessman-model, who was previously married to actor Urmila Matondkar, shared that he has has got married to Nidhaa Bhatt. He shared photos from the wedding on social media along with a heartfelt note reflecting on gratitude, healing and new beginnings.

Mohsin expressed gratitude for his wife and reflected on the journey that led him to this moment. He wrote in the caption, "Pure intentions, honest love, and a heart full of sabr and shukur. Keep your soul pure, heal along the way, and trust that Allah's script is always better. In His perfect time, my gorgeous wifey @nidhab_ ,he rewarded me with your sincerity and blessed me. You brought light in my life. So thank you my love (sic)."

He also paid tribute to a loved one he called Mouji, saying he believed their blessings had played a role in bringing happiness back into his life. He shared that he missed Mouji deeply and hoped to continue receiving prayers and good wishes as he embarked on this new chapter.

Mohsin was previously married to Urmila Matondkar. Reports of trouble in their marriage first emerged in 2024, with reports later claiming that Urmila had filed for divorce in a Mumbai court in September that year.

The former couple had married on February 4, 2016, in an intimate ceremony that attracted attention for being an inter-faith union as well as for the 10-year age difference between them. However, their nearly decade-long marriage eventually came to an end.

A businessman and model from Kashmir, Mohsin first met Urmila at the wedding of fashion designer Manish Malhotra's niece in 2014. Manish was among the select guests present at their private wedding ceremony in 2016. The couple had also visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar before their Nikah.

Meanwhile, Urmila remains one of Bollywood's most celebrated actors. She began her career as a child artiste in films such as Masoom and later rose to fame with performances in films including Rangeela, Judaai, Satya, Kaun, Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, Bhoot and Ek Hasina Thi.
