‘Ye kharab hai ise hatao’: Kumar Vishwas’ old video about Raghav Chadha being the next target goes viral after suspension

Amid a rift in AAP over Raghav Chadha, an old video of another rebel AAP leader Kumar Vishwas has gone viral on social media. Just a day after the AAP replaced Raghav Chadha as its Deputy Leader in the Rajya Sabha with Ashok Mittal, a post on X calling Dr Vishwas a “visionary” for predicting “this move by Kejriwal long before" is doing rounds on social media.

Kumar Vishwas' video on Raghav Chadha

In the video, the poet-turned-politician is seen calmly breaking down how things really work inside the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP. In the video, Vishwas speaks openly about AAP’s internal equations. He appears to suggest that Arvind Kejriwal has a way of keeping tight control and doesn’t let other faces grow too big or build their own separate following. The graphic overlay in the clip even pits Vishwas against Kejriwal, turning the old interview into a timely reminder for many watchers.

"Agla shikaar kaun hai. Agla shikaar vo hai jo khud ka hi paida kiya hua hai, jo lokpriya ho gya hai, heroin se shaadi kar li hai. Mene jab ye dekha tha tab hi keh diya tha ki ye gaya. Isko nhi chodega. Aap inte dare hue hai ki apko abha bardasht hi nhi hai," Kumar Vishwas can be heard saying.

The timing couldn’t be more spot on. The move to sideline Chadha has already triggered whispers of growing differences and power shifts within

Many are hailing Vishwas for getting it right. One user wrote in Hindi, praising the former leader for knowing Kejriwal “from every vein” and making an absolutely accurate prediction. Others are laughing it off, with one comment noting, “He became visionary only after he was kicked out of the party.”

For those who have followed AAP since its early days, this isn’t the first time internal rifts have come under the scanner. Dr Kumar Vishwas himself had a very public exit years ago, and the party has seen other prominent faces like Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan walk away amid similar differences.

Raghav Chadha releases a statement

In his first detailed response, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Raghav Chadha on Friday released a video message aimed at the “aam aadmi”, a day after the party initiated steps to remove him as its deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha.

“Silenced, not defeated,” Chadha said in a post on X, adding that the message was meant for the common people.

In the video, he questioned whether speaking about public concerns had become an offence. “Have I done anything wrong? Whenever I speak, I raise issues faced by ordinary citizens. Why should anyone try to stop me from doing that?” he asked.

He urged people to continue supporting him as they have in the past, while also issuing a subtle warning. “Do not see my silence as surrender. I may be calm like a river now, but I can rise like a flood when needed,” he said.

The message came shortly after he shared a montage highlighting topics he claims to have taken up as deputy leader in the House. These included the burden of taxes on the middle class, data expiry issues, the demand for paternity leave rights in India, and concerns over high baggage charges at airports.

A day earlier, the AAP had written to the Rajya Sabha secretariat seeking his removal from the post and proposed Punjab MP Ashok Mittal as his replacement.

AAP Responds on Raghav Chadha

AAP MLA Saurabh Bharadwaj, in a video statement, took a direct swipe at Raghav Chadha’s recent position and actions. “Raghav bhai, I saw your video. We are all soldiers of Arvind Kejriwal ji, and we have been taught one thing — fear means the end. Our role has always been to raise public issues while standing up to the government,” he said.

He went on to allege that Chadha has been avoiding taking on the Centre and has stayed quiet on important matters. Bharadwaj claimed that those who question the government are increasingly being targeted. “In recent days, anyone raising serious concerns or speaking for the people is being treated as if in a dictatorship. Their voices are being curbed on platforms like Twitter, Facebook and YouTube, and FIRs and cases are being filed,” he said.

Bharadwaj also raised questions about Chadha’s role in Parliament, pointing to his absence during key moments. “Whenever the opposition stages a walkout, you don’t join them. For years now, I haven’t seen you raise issues where you questioned the Prime Minister or the BJP government. How can politics function under fear like this?” he asked.

He further criticised Chadha for not speaking up on Punjab-related matters despite representing the state, and for being missing during critical phases when senior party leaders, including Arvind Kejriwal, were facing legal action. “When several of our leaders were in jail and Arvind Kejriwal ji was arrested as chief minister in what we believe was a false case, you weren’t even in the country,” he added.

Echoing similar views, AAP’s media in-charge Anurag Dhanda also took to X, saying, “We are Kejriwal’s soldiers, and fearlessness defines us. If someone fears Modi, how will they fight for the country?” He added that Chadha has appeared hesitant in recent years to speak against Prime Minister Narendra Modi or raise pressing national issues.
